You speak naturally
No dialogue wheels. No choosing between A, B or C. Simply type what you want to say.
Welcome to the Spiral Archive
The Spiral Archive is a new way to experience stories. Instead of watching a character make choices, you become part of the story itself. Talk to characters naturally, explore the world in your own way, and discover adventures where your words genuinely matter.
What makes it different?
No dialogue wheels. No choosing between A, B or C. Simply type what you want to say.
Characters react to what you tell them. Build trust, damage relationships, lie, persuade or earn respect through conversation.
The story has direction, but how you reach it is yours.
The AI is not writing random adventures. Every story is carefully designed with characters, lore, objectives and consequences guiding the experience.
About the Spiral Archive
The Spiral Archive is an independent project run by MJ, the founder.
I have always been passionate about writing, and when AI reached the point where natural conversations became possible, I saw an opportunity to create something I had never experienced before: a blend between a visual novel and a traditional novel. A story without dialogue options, where you can speak naturally, have your own inner monologue, ask questions that matter and build genuine relationships with the characters around you.
If there is one thing that will remain true as the Spiral Archive grows, it is this: the writing will always be centered around those relationships. Everything else may evolve, the technology, the mechanics and the scope, but the characters will always come first. That is my promise.
Building the Archive has not been easy. Turning years of writing instincts and lessons into code that an AI can interpret consistently, while still producing a coherent, structured story, has been one of the biggest challenges I have ever taken on. It is a problem I am still working on every day, but it has also been one of the most rewarding projects I have ever built.
How it works
What is available?
A dark fantasy mystery about family, faith, and a village waiting beneath a fading light.
Detective mysteries, horror stories, strange trials, and more interactive worlds are being built.
The Spiral Engine will eventually let creators build and publish interactive stories of their own.
The future
We are building more than individual stories. Our goal is a growing library of interactive adventures across different genres, from fantasy to detective mysteries to horror and beyond, with creator tools that will eventually allow anyone to build worlds of their own.
Under the hood
Every adventure begins as a traditionally written story. The world, characters, locations, relationships, history and major events are all designed by hand before the AI ever becomes involved.
Each character has their own personality, memories, goals and relationships. They remember what matters, react to your actions and pursue objectives of their own instead of simply waiting for the player.
Instead of selecting dialogue options, you simply type what you want to say. The AI interprets your words, understands your intent and lets characters respond naturally while remaining faithful to who they are.
The Archive is not an endless sandbox where anything can happen. Every story has planned events, objectives, mysteries and endings. Your choices influence how those events unfold, who trusts you, what information you discover and ultimately where the story leads.
The AI does not invent the world as it goes. It operates inside carefully written boundaries, using the information created for that specific story to keep characters consistent and the narrative coherent.
Every update expands what is possible. New mechanics, better character behaviour, additional stories and improvements to the Spiral Engine all make future adventures richer than the last.
